"The MPI-SWS at the University of Kaiserslautern"

The Max Planck Institute for Software Systems conducts high-risk, high-impact research in all areas related to the design, analysis, modeling, implementation and evaluation of complex software systems. Over the course of the next decade, the institute's scientific staff will grow to about 17 tenure-track and tenured faculty, and approximately 100 postdocs and doctoral students. Currently MPI-SWS has 7 tenured and tenure-track faculty members doing research in Dependable Systems,

Distributed Systems and Operating Systems, Information Security and Cryptography, Networked Systems, Type Systems and Functional Programming, Verification Systems, and Large Scale Internet Systems.

The talk will give an overview of MPI-SWS and the major research accomplishments of the last years.
