"Spatial-Semantic Layout Analysis using Deep-Neural Networks"

Document layout analysis (DLA) and table structure recognition (TSR) are one of the important steps in document image understanding. Although it has been investigated a lot, a general layout analyzer that can detect different parts of a document is still an open problem. In our studies, we explored the usage of successful deep neural networks in this domain.
