Important notes on the new computer science curriculum

Our department has reformed the program structures in computer science: from winter semester 2018/19, updated study plans and examination regulations will apply to newly enrolled students. The new curricula offer significantly more flexibility and improved compulsory sections help to improve the individual study progress.

Due to the greater flexibility in the new computer science program, students can strive for a similar profile as in the previous program “Computer Science in Applications”. As a consequence, the Bachelor and Master program "Computer Science in Applications" will be closed for new enrollments from winter semester 2018/19 (last enrollments were possible in summer semester 2018).

Still, all enrolled students will be able to complete their Bachelor's or Master's degree program (“Computer Science” / “Computer Science in Applications”). At their own request, they may (depending on their individual situation or preference) switch to the new examination regulations and follow the new study plans.

Currently enrolled students who successfully complete their bachelor's degree program "Computer Science in Applications" at TUK will be given the opportunity to change to the reformed master's degree program "Computer Science" without restrictions.
